Between Worlds: Voices of Migration and Passage is an exhibition that brings together 8 local artists, who, through their work, explore the profound emotional and physical journey that migration entails. Each step along the way feels like a dull crackling, a distant tearing at the roots of the land that is no longer home, that is no longer theirs. Migration is not just the movement of the body; it is the crossing of distances that embed themselves in the skin, the gaze, and the art.
Join us for the opening reception on Friday, May 2 from 5 - 8 pm!
This special exhibition will be on view in the Demuth Program Center (116 East King Street) during ArtWalk weekend (May 3 & 4), followed by Fridays and Saturdays only throughout May.
