Bring our Charles Demuth-focused curriculum to your classroom! We are making our curriculum more accessible in hopes that it might aid in students' learning, whether in-school or virtual. To request specific lesson plans with corresponding presentations, please fill out this form.

We welcome school group visits to the Demuth Museum and Lancaster Museum of Art! Groups may choose to visit one or both of the museums. The museums are approximately two blocks apart in downtown Lancaster - if you are planning a visit to one museum, consider checking out both museums while you are in town!

Do you have students in grades 9 - 12 interested in making a difference in our local art community? We invite them to join us in our Demuth Foundation Teen Art Council! Within this council, our goal is to start the conversation on how to include teens into the art community in Lancaster. Our next program begins in October 2024. Visit our Opportunities page for more information and application.
The Demuth Foundation is a Chapter of the National Art Honor Society for Lancaster County! All 9-12 graders are welcome! Society members are responsible for paying a $5 fee that gets sent to NAHS and will automatically be registered for the Demuth Teen Art Council. Refer to the Teen Council registration for more information about meetings and other opportunities.

The Scholastic Art Awards is the first level of a national art competition, open to students grades 7 through 12. Exceptional works of art are submitted by students to be judged first at the regional level here in Lancaster, with the winning works moving on to the national competition. Lancaster County Young Artists is a regional competition that is open to any student, grades 7 through 12, attending school in a participating district or homeschooled.
The 2025 submissions deadline is January 7, 2025 by 11:59 pm. Submission forms will be posted this fall. For any questions or to request an invoice to participate in LCYA, please contact Abby Saurbaugh at asaurbaugh@demuth.org.

Do you use our museums in your classrooms? Utilize this form to upload your lesson plans to earn 3 credit hours for including what you’ve learned at our museums. Once submitted, your lesson will support the museum’s reaccreditation as an Act 48 provider and, with your permission, will be shared with other educators via our secure Google Drive.
