Demuth Museum Volunteers are essential to the success of our day-to-day museum operations, exhibitions, public programs, and other special events! As a volunteer, you will receive in-depth training on Charles Demuth's art and life and take part in ongoing educational opportunities.
As a Demuth Volunteer, you may assist with: interaction with museum visitors, gift shop sales, and museum activities including special mailings, events, and research projects.
Or you may choose to be a Special Events Volunteer, helping to coordinate and execute seasonal events including the Garden Tour, Auction, and other special events.
Demuth Museum Interns are a vital component to the museum's operations. We engage students who are currently enrolled as either undergraduate or graduate-level college students, or have recently graduated. Our unpaid internships offer participants unparalleled experience as staff of a small art museum, over the course of 1-2 semesters. Summer internships are also available.
Time Commitment: 2-3 days per week, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The Demuth Museum is dedicated to developing awareness, understanding and appreciation of the artwork and legacy of Charles Demuth, renowned American modernist painter, and his family's contributions to the Lancaster community.
